About Us
Background
The Madrasah Primary Curriculum Review (MPCR) Project began in 2019 as a collaborative, ground-up initiative spearheaded by the Madrasah Curriculum Development Strategic Unit at MUIS. This comprehensive review was developed with the support and expertise of our full-time madrasahs, ensuring that the curriculum reflects the authentic needs and aspirations of our Islamic educational community.Following years of careful research, consultation, and development, this innovative curriculum will be launched at Madrasah Irsyad Zuhri Al-Islamiah in 2026, beginning with our P1 and P2 students. This marks an exciting milestone in enhancing Islamic education for our young learners, combining traditional Islamic knowledge with contemporary pedagogical approaches and progressive assessment methods.

Subjects
We cover the following 5 Islamic Studies subjects at the Primary level:
Al-Qur'an
Tilawah and Tahfiz
Mastering the art of beautiful Quranic recitation with proper pronunciation (tajweed and fasahah) and developing memorisation skills to preserve Allah's words in the hearts.Quranic Studies (Tafhim and Ta'dib)
Exploring the profound meanings and wisdom within the Quranic verses, learning how to apply these divine teachings to develop good character and conduct in daily lives.Tauhid
Exploring the fundamental 6 pillars of Islamic faith or Arkanul Iman, learning about Allah, His attributes, and the core principles that form the foundation of Islamic faith.
Fiqh
Discovering the basic 5 pillars of Islamic worship and daily life or Arkanul Islam, including prayer (solat), cleanliness (taharah), and other important Islamic practices.
Akhlaq
Developing good character and moral values, learning how to be kind, honest, respectful, and embody the beautiful qualities taught by Prophet Muhammad s.a.w.
Sirah
Journeying through the inspiring life story of Prophet Muhammad s.a.w, learning valuable lessons from his experiences and following his excellent example.
